Toddler Meltdowns and Painting Outside

Heeyyyyoooooo

My kid had me in tears yesterday. He’s one and made me cry more than a angry parent when I had a job as a social worker. Why??? Because he didn’t feel well, he doesn’t know how to tell me what he needs, and he just whiiinnesss to the point of me not being able to handle the sound. Sooo yes I cried. I cried because I didn’t know what else to do 🤷🏼‍♀️
Side note:He has an ear infection

But guess who’s back back back back again ....

I sometimes forget he doesn’t know how to process his emotions yet and I get frustrated. Here’s a good article on toddlers and how they are in the process of developing that skill.

So anyway...

I was going to do this with Reese today ,but it’s supposed to rain all week 🤬

What I am going to use is a white plastic table cloth that I bought at the Dollar Tree. I also am going to lay finger  paint , paint brushes, and different sponges for him to paint with. I will probably use thumb tacks to tack the table cloth to our fence.

Not my kid or my picture -just using it as an example ⤴️

Thank you 😊
